5 Star Celebrations all the way at REAP!

This quarter began with an outing to National Park on 26th October for 50 of our NFE students of Western Zones. Rides round the safari park, the excitement of spotting of tigers, train rides made their day. Children's Day was an event to remember. 150 children from Chembur, Kalwa and Western Zones were treated to a 5 star treat at Sun-n-Sand Hotel, Juhu, on 14th November, 2009. The children were divided into three groups depending on their interests (drawing, skits and dance) and trained by experts. In Kalyan and Dombivili the children from several classes had a joint celebration. The kids put up skits and dances. In Kalwa the children took out a rally to highlight the importance of education and to encourage the parents to send their children to school.

Christmas is a time of cheer and goodwill. 100 kids from Thane, Ghatkopar and Dadar were treated to a grand Christmas party at the Hard Rock Café, Worli, on 18th December . The highlight of the evening was the special performance put up by the famous percussionist, Sivamani, who enthralled the kids with his beats last year also. Cine Star Jackie Shroff entertained the kids as well. Finally, Santa made sure that all the kids went home laden with tons of gifts and happiness. Thank you Family Foundation!
