better way to begin the 10th year than by inaugurating Reap
Vidyavardhini” a boarding for tribal girls in Dolkhamb,
Shahpur Tal. This is REAP’s gift to the tribal community to
encourage their girls to complete high schooling. Due to lack
of schools and distances there I a high rate of drop-outs.
REAP took up the challenge, even though it is first of its
kind. Said the Sarpanch, “normally we have to worry where to
send our girls. Now a boarding has come to our doorstep and
our girls can hope to have a better future”.
Another first, the launching of REAP `Sanjeevini’,
a one year English medium Teacher Training programme designed
to train teachers who would be able to conduct English NFE’s
next year.
