On 19th May, the Annual Kavya Puraskar
Function, held by the Tilak Vachanalaya was a day to be
remembered. Over 300 people witnessed this event in which
Shri Tukaram Dhande was felicitated for his collection of
Adivasi Poems. This programme turned out to be a unique event
of the year because it elucidated the style ‘soul of adivasi
poetry, which is a challenge to the modern culture, the future
aspirations of man. This function was presided over by Shri
Vinayakdada Patil, an eminent personality of Maharashtra
Politics Culture, who promised the eminent poet that very soon
his collections of poems will be published by Yeshwantrao
Mukta Vidyapeeth Rajhans Prakashan. This illustrious function
which was from 6.00 to 9.00 p.m. featured prominent speakers
like Shri Uttamji Kamble (Director, ‘Sakal’ News Network), Fr.
