In March 2006, the Vatican
Philatelic and Numismatic Office issued three stamps with
portraits of St. Ignatius, St. Francis Xavier and Blessed
Peter Faber.
In Sept. 2006 The Italian Post Office will
issue two stamps, St. Ignatius and St. Francis Xavier. On
April 22, the feast of Our Lady Mother of the Society, a Mass
will be held in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. The Pope, as he
has done in similar occasions, will join the participants at
the end of the Mass and address them. April 22 is the day
suggested by Fr. General for the whole Society to join in the
commemoration of the three first companions. (Letter of
